This year was not only a record setting year for TV viewers for the Super Bowl at 111 Million people, nor was it the year that we hoped so much for the greatness of the national anthem that was mangled by the great Christina Aguilera, but it was also a record setting price to get a 30 second spot during these hours. SO, those numbers probably didn’t work out too well for Christina, but I’d say they did for the advertisers.
A whopping $3,000,000 was the price for 30 seconds of air time. It seems crazy to pay that much for advertising, but if you’re getting the word out to 111 million people and a minute percentage goes and buys your product, I say you’re making that $3,000,000 tenfold.
Also taking into consideration that these large companies have that wealth laying there, it’s a no brainer. Now excuse me while I have some Doritos, with Pepsi Max, and I sign into my new Go.Daddy account.
