How much does a townhouse/Brownstone in Fort Greene Brooklyn cost on average? Per square foot?

Tip for best answer: M$3.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Great New York Times article on Fort Greene Real Estate:
http://www.nytimes.com/1984/05/06/realestate/if-you-re-thinking-of-living-in-fort-greene.html

The article states, "Prices of renovated two-family brownstones run from $150,000 to $250,000" and "Cooperative apartments...are $30,000 to $50,000 for one bedroom and $50,000 to $80,000 for two bedrooms."

Hope this helps!

I checked with Realtor.com for listings in the Fort Greene area of Brooklyn. I found 2 listings. There is a 2 bdr / 2 ba at 1062 sq feet for $620,000. There is another at $599,000 for the same square footage. It looks like a pretty good area. You can search under the Zipcode of 11217.

Over $800/sf is right for something that is already renovated and does not need any work. Some quotes were as high as $900/sf.
