How much do you spend for grocery monthly?

Do you spend most of your earnings on grocery? Do you prefer to buy the best products with available money or do you try to save as much money as possible when buying groceries. My family spends about $ 5 per day for groceries, not including eating out. But we have 6 persons in our household, and also remember our country living cost is quite low compared to western countries.

I budget usually $40/week for groceries, so that's $160/mo just for me. Quite often though, I spend half of that (sometimes $15) for one week, and then I'll meet my budget the next week - just depends on what ingredients I have available at home, or if I want to make something extravagant. On top of that, I budget for eating out twice a week, though I'm trying to eat out much less than that for my personal health. :)

We do one large shopping trip a month and buy in bulk. that trip generally costs us around five hundred US dollars, and then we spend about another one hundred US throughout the month on small trips for items we are missing for certain meals. we also do not pay for milk, eggs, juice, bread or cereal as we currently get WIC.

We have a family of 4, two adults a one and a half year old and a 5 month old. We eat very well. We also grow some food. It should also be noted Alaska has higher food prices in comparison to the rest of the US because most items are shipped in. We never eat out, I'd have to say our food budget is decent.

I would say that I spend at least $120 monthly on groceries. I'm shopping for just myself, so that's why I'm only;y spending about $30-$35 a week on food.

I would say I spend about $300 every 3 weeks. I bargain shop a bit but there are some things I do not budge on such as bar soaps, Heinz Ketchup and so on. I would say a third of what I buy I look for the cheapest brand or see what is on sale. I use coupons occasionally and try to make a dollar stretch. I do not shop at the cheapest store around. There is an Aldi's near by, which is cheaper than my grocery store but I feel like the products, meat and vegetables are not as good as they should be. When it comes to groceries cheapest may not always be the best. I do try to serve leftovers at home and make the food I do buy last as long as possible.
