How might Thai beetle fighting gain the pizazz to appeal to an American audience?
I heard that in Thailand there is a popular sport that involves people getting together and placing bets on fights between giant beetles, so of course I had to take a look. Kinda boring. See the video below.
Let's say I wanted to figure a way to get an American audience to tune in for televised giant beetle fights ... how could I dress it up a bit to appeal to the Western sports enthusiast?

Only thing I can think of is to make it in to a "reality show".
Contestants are placed on an island where they spend every day training their beetles (possibly while having to survive by eating some gross food... like beetles!)
Each week, matches are held and one contestant is "thrown off of beetle island" while the victor gets to enjoy a delicious 4 course meal while the other contestants watch jealously.
