You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

They Toyota Prius was debuted in 1995 as a concept car at the Tokyo Motor Show. Testing followed a year later, and the car finally went on sale in Japan on December 10, 1997. However, some vehicles were privately shipped to other countries such as the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. It was the first mass-produced gasoline-electric hybrid car.

However, it was beaten to the US market by the Honda Insight, which was the first mass-produced hybrid vehicle to be sold in North America. Sales of the Toyota Prius in the United States and Australia began in 2001, with Europe receiving the car a year earlier in 2000.

The Prius is currently on its third generation, which was introduced in 2009. It is currently the most fuel efficient gasoline car on the market, as tested bu the United States EPA.
