How many sides does a quadrangle have?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Four. The answer is actually built into the word: quad-rangle, with "quad" being Latin for four. Quadrangle seems to be primarily an architectural term describing a four sided courtyard, with the sides being made-up of buildings.

A quadrangle isn't the name of any real geometrical shape. It seems to be a mix of the word quadrilateral and triangle. A quadrilateral or tetragon is any shape with 4 sides, some people might call 4 sided shape a Quadrangle if they feel like it.

"Quadrangle", while not as common as "Quadrilatteral", is indeed a real word, whose most popular definition is the same as that of quadrilatteral.

It is not a mix of quadrilateral and triangle. It is true that it is not the name of the shape but it is still something with four angles. The root of triangle and quadrangle is the same.
But your answer is correct.
