How many pounds of muscle is it possible to gain per week?

If you aren't new to training and have trained for some time than it's about 2lbs a month. Which means it's about 0.5lb a week. That slows down with more training and you can gain less the second year you train and etc.
Newbie gains (the most productive time for gains is first month of training usually because body is shocked by new physical challenge and it needs to add muscle to cope). Some gain 4lbs, some 8lbs, some 2lbs, one guy whom I helped gained 15lbs in 1,5 months! So these really vary.
