To appear in the Final Four 4 times, a player would have to be on the teams all 4 years in college. I checked to see which teams have appeared in the final four 4 or more consecutive years. The only teams to have done so are the UCLA Bruins from 1967 through 1975 and the Duke Blue Devils from 1988 through 1992.
John Ecker played for the UCLA Bruins from 1968 through 1971.
