How many pints of beer should a bride drink at her wedding reception?

Was 8 too many? Or was it the champagne? I guess they were British pints, which are larger.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

After reading the story, I would say that 8 was too many for that bride.

Every bride should know ahead of time what her normal limit is and never exceed it on her wedding day.

If the wedding reception is outside in the hot sun, you also need to take into account that it will intensify the buzz, or may even make you more sleepy.
Also, if you're wearing a tight and constricting wedding gown, you'll need to take that into consideration too.

I was in a situation of drinking beer in a tight corset... in the hot sun, and it wasn't pretty!

Is this a trick question? It's posted in etiquette isn't it? I think proper etiquette calls for something more than beer for the bride but my wedding wasn't held in a trailer park so maybe I'm wrong.

No matter what, mind your Pints and Quarts (Ps and Qs) at your wedding. May we please expand this (I know this is difficult) past beer? What if she had had 8 pints of whatever the heck this woman drank at this wedding? I'd be interested to know if this is a Greek wedding or not. I love the looks on the faces. Pole dancing takes on a whole new meaning. Oh - and it looks like the videographer knocked back a few as well! Bummer about the nose. It will make for a good story to tell the grandkids.

I'm guessing it was a combination of the beer, champagne, excitement and a total lack of class. There is also the possibility that the bouncer in question had previously assaulted her.

There is never any good reason to get into a physical altercation on your wedding day. The group should have taken the moral highroad and left the bar after they were asked to leave.

Well, it depends on the capacity of the bride to carry herself. But during the wedding reception, I think a decent shot is enough for a champagne, she should not be drinking too much or she'll miss her most important moment, lol. I myself can never drink 8 Imperial pints or that is equal to 4.54609188 liters. I'd be dead asleep if I do or get bloated with it. So, I'll stick to 1 to 3 glasses of beer or champagne.

It all depends what she is looking foward to doing after the wedding reception is over! Be cognacent of what is happening, make a fool of herself, relax the tension, be passed out cold on and on.

I suppose the best is does she want to remeber her wedding reception ?
