The most famous and notable voice for Betty Boop was Mae Questel. Most people today would remember her as the crazy aunt on Christmas Vacation. The one with the cat and jello mold. Betty Boop got her singing style from Helen Kane. This is why Mae Questel was pick, because of her great Helen Kane singing style.
The first Betty Boop appeared in 1902. Questel, didn't start doing the voice until 1931 and did at least 150 cartoon shots. She was also the voice for Olive Oyl and Swee' Pea in 1933.
