How many people can comfortably view an iPad screen at once?

Let's say I'm at a boardroom table with four or five people sitting across from me. If I don't have a video projector, can I flip the iPad over and show them a diagram or slide show? Will they all be able to see?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I think people can comfortably view an iPad screen at once, if each person holds a single iPad due to the fact that the iPad screen's size is just a mere 9.7 inch (diagonal) LED Backlit glossy wide screen with a 1024x768 pixel resolution. Judging from the size of the board room table, then it would be difficult for the members of the board to see a presentation by just flipping over the device and show a diagram or slide show for them.

In order to present your proposal clearly to the board, one must have the ability to convey your message in a clear and distinct way that your audience can appreciate and understand your presentation clearly and direct to the objective. And in order to do this, my advise is to use the Apple iPad Dock Connector to VGA Adapter, to enable "piping the iPad's 1024x768 screen into anything with a VGA port, whether it's a TV, projector, or computer monitor."

Accordingly, "Apple says the VGA adapter works with the following apps: Keynote (when playing a slideshow), Videos, YouTube, Photos (when playing a slideshow of photos), and Safari (when viewing video content from YouTube, Vimeo, FunnyOrDie, and other video sites)."

I have seen the iPad in person, although I do not personally have one. The screen on the iPad is 9.7 inch. I am not sure if the iPad would be the best chose for a board room meeting.

My guess would be that maybe two people can view the iPad clearly at once. You mentioned above that there may be 4 or 5 people sitting across from you. If it is a less formal meeting and people do not mind passing the iPad around for a clearer view, then this may work for your meeting.

Maybe if you have a small round table with people sitting close you can slowly show everyone the iPad. Ideally a projector may be better for larger more formal meetings.

If there is only one iPad and a lot of people need to view it, then I think there will be a problem. I don't have an iPad but have seen them and unless you're quite close to it, you can't really see what's going on. I would think people sitting adjacent to the person with the iPad can see it, but beyond that, no.

I would think that everyone would have to have an iPad to see what the person wants to present, which causes a problem because not everyone has an iPad. Maybe the time will come when everyone in the office will be required to have an iPad. If that happens, the company should provide employees with these.

The only other suggestion I have is to make sure you have the video projector with you. If not your presentation will be a failure since noone will see or know what you're trying to present.
