Dustin Hoffman won two Oscars for Best Actor in a Lead Role for the movie Rain Man in 1989, And for Kramer vs. Kramer in 1980.
He had 5 Academy Award nominations for his movies Wag the Dog in 1998, Tootsie in 1983, Lenny in 1975, Midnight Cowboy in 1970 and the Graduate in in 1968.
Hoffmans starred in Robert Benton's Kramer vs. Kramer as a workaholic Ted Kramer whose wife unexpectedly leave him so he raised his son alone. He starred in the movie directed by Barry Levinson entitled Rain Man in 1988. He portrayed here as an autistic savant with Tom Cruise who portrays his brother. They worked for two years on the film and he won his second Academy Award.
