How many officers have their own private room on an aircraft carrier?

I'm just curious how many people (which equals officers) have their own private berth on an aircraft carrier -- that is, they don't share a room with anyone else?

Only the Captain and Fleet Admiral would warrant having a private room, all other officers would share their quarters.

"The living quarters on carriers are pretty cramped. Only the Captain of the ship and the Carrier Battle Group Commander (an Admiral) would have private quarters, and even these are small (about 30 by 30 feet, and it doubles as their office). Only these two senior officers would have private latrines (bathrooms).

Mid-Level officers (O-4 through O-6), and senior petty officers (E-7 through E-9) are normally berthed two per room, with one lower and one upper rack (bunk beds). The room would have two small storage lockers (for personal effects), and a desk. Junior officers and petty officers would normally be berthed 4 per room (with two bunk beds). The room would also have four small storage lockers. No desk.

Junior enlisted (E-4 and below) are berthed in compartments with several racks (50 or so per compartment). "Rooms" on a Naval ship are referred to as "compartments." Each rack has a small, built-in storage compartment for personal items)."

I laughed out loud at the "Even these are small (about 30 by 30 feet)" part of that, but that's mainly because I was on a submarine for 4 years. The CO and the XO are the only people that get their own quarters on a sub, but they're maybe a quarter or a third the size of that.

About 45. The Admiral, Chief of Staff, DESRON Commander, Air Wing Commander, ship's Captain, ship's Navigator, and Air Boss all have the unique privilege of having both their own stateroom PLUS a private, attached bathroom ("head"). About 20 others (primarily O-5/Commanders who are air wing squadron CO's and XO's and a few ship's company officers like the XO and RO) have their own stateroom plus a head they share with one officer in the adjacent stateroom. About 20 more officers (O-5/Commanders from ship's company) have their own stateroom, but they have to walk down the passageway to a head shared between approx. 20 other officers of all ranks (each neighborhood has a head with 3-4 stalls and 3-4 showers). Shower shoes and bathrobes and shower caddies for all my friends! A small price to pay for your own stateroom though! I was one of the latter group.
