How many lies does the average person tell every day?

Very hard question that will be impossible to answer because of so many factors including how many people one interacts with, if the person even has a reason to lie, the character of the person etc. I doubt that most people lie every single day, I know I don't. Of course I lie. I lie about being sick when I don't feel up to going to school or work, I lie to make a joke (i.e. sarcasm), I lie when I think the truth may hurt. But, back to the question, I'd say I lie, on average, about 30-40 times a week or about 4-6 times a day. I'm not sure if that is average, but that's me.
