How many Iphones will be sold outside of the USA in 2009?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

It appears that the prediction will be approximately 45 million pieces overall according to apple's website and cnnmoney.com The predictions for exact figures outside of the US is debatable considering even the 45 million pieces is under fire. Another aspect affecting predictions at the moment is the economic downturn that occurred prior to these predictions. The analyst Munster suggests that Japan is the main source for international sales.

If you read what I wrote clearly instead of simply trying to discredit about what I said... I have addressed your 3 issues as follows:
1) "Economic downturn occurred prior (I meant post, I apologize for the typo, I guess I'm not perfect) to these predictions"
2) "even the 45 million is under fire"
3) His chart at the bottom of the page states predicted new carriers. Not to mention it is in the article that Japan is a possible main source for international sales.

This answer was to help carry on a discussion. I apologize if it wasn't up to your standards, perhaps you have a better suggestion?

1) The article you cite was written in March 2008.

2) It's discussing an analyst's projections and says "most investors consider his 45 million estimate outrageously aggressive".

3) It doesn't give any breakdown of sales outside of the US anyway, just total sales.

I am starting to get annoyed by answers like this that don't do their homework and don't even claim to answer what the person specifically asked for.
