How many hours of sleep do you need every night?
How many hours of sleep do you actually get every night? And, how many hours of sleep do you NEED to feel good? I typically sleep 9 hours every night and feel good. My husband works on call 24/7 and sometimes misses a full nights sleep. I give him credit, I do not think I could do that. I am almost 39 and maybe back years ago I could go on less sleep, but nowadays I need my sleep or I can get cranky and just not function properly. So, how much sleep do YOU NEED? And how much sleep do you actually get?http://farm1.static.flickr.com/190/511861529_a008fbe6ff_t.jpg

* Infants require about 16 hours a day
* Teenagers need about 9 hours on average
* Most adults need 7 to 8 hours a night for the best amount of sleep, although some people may need as few as 5 hours or as many as 10 hours of sleep each day
