How many hours do you spend cooking every day?

I wonder how many hours approximately people spend to cook everyday. Of course, I know that it all depends on your schedule and what type of food you prepare. Most of my food are stir fries, fried, or soups because I am a Chinese, so I don’t spend too much time cooking, if it’s my turn to cook. Western food seems to take longer to cook to me, but maybe it’s because I am not used to it.

Well I love to cook, I really find it relaxing and comforting as well, and also a great way to spend some extra boredom time! If I had to break it down to how long I actually cook all day, would be a little hard. I cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner, for about five people. So each meal takes me about an hour to an hour and one half of an hour.
If I decide to bake or make some type of dessert that ads just a little bit more time to the chart for me! I think the least amount of time I would spend baking is about an hour. So all together I would say I spend a good three hours cooking each day if not more!

I try to spend at least one hour a day cooking, mostly stupid little things. I've been very into lasagna and making dough lately. It gives me something to do with my hands.

i would say about 7-10 hours a week.

Not too many hours, really. I do most of my cooking on Sundays, if I can. Like, I'll make a tuna casserole, or make some ragù sauce, or pre-boil some tortellini, and divvy it up for lunches for the next week. It saves time in the mornings before work. For dinners I'll usually whip out a frozen pizza, or have some whole wheat noodles and sauce. Interesting how you think western food takes longer - I would've thought all that chopping and boiling and stir-frying would take longer! Shows how much I know. :)
