How many Google search request are performed each day?
In 2009 what was Googles traffic volume of web searches?

They don't seem to be that keen on releasing the absolute numbers, and they numbers vary a lot over time anyway.
But it looks like in 2009 they are probably in the range of 6-9bn per month, which is about 200-300m per day.
Things like Michael Jackson dying and Barack Obama giving a big speech can cause major spikes and troughs.
