It is hard to keep track of the number of games out for a certain console as new games are constantly always being released for it. For the Playstation 3, I think it’s around the 500 or 600 mark by now. If you want to know which of these are the good games you can check out, you can try these for a start:

Little Big Planet 1 and 2
Wipeout HD
3D Dot Heroes
Valkyria Chronicles
Final Fantasy XIII
The Ratchet and Clank games
Resistance 1 and 2
Dead Space 1 and 2
Gran Turismo 5
Virtua Fighter 5
Tekken 6
