How many gadgets are there like the Microsoft Surface? Who are the competitors? Are there any others in the market? Where can I buy one?
How many of these do they develop?
Where can I buy one and how much do they cost?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Microsoft Surface is a "surface computer" which has the ability of multi-touch and the interaction with objects from the natural world. When objects (which have been tagged) come onto the surface, the computer recognizes the tag and does the appropriate action.
There are very few products that are "surface computers" available due to the expensive cost to manufacture them and produce them. However there are many concepts. The ReacTable (first picture) is one of these concepts which, with multi-touch available, can interact with objects to create music.
To buy a Microsoft Surface is not possible at the moment, mainly because Microsoft want to either create a new affordable Surface Computer - or be able to reduce the cost of the Surface to an affordable level for customers. This has been confirmed by Microsoft as an aim for 2010.
You can test Microsoft Surface in many different places. Many AT&T Stores (fifth picture) have Surface for you to try out. Harrah’s Entertainment also has Microsoft Surface at the Rio iBar and Disneyland launched a Microsoft Surface for people to try in Tomorrowland, Innoventions Dream Home and Sheraton Hotels has Surface computers in 5 locations around the US.
