How many different people (men and women) did Alfred Kinsey's research team interview in his famous "Kinsey surveys"?

Tip for best answer: M$2.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

According to the Kinsey Institute in Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, Kinsey and his team interviewed over 17,000 people (between 1938 and 1956). After Kinsey's death in 1956 until 1963, when the interview program closed, his team reached a total of 18,000 people interviewed.
