You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hi @kingpin!
There are 4 types of Geometry
These are:
1. Euclidean geometry which is an elaborative theory of an area in discrete groups and construction of geometric models and techniques involved in algebraic. This type of geometry has a close relationship with computational graphics, combinatorics and discrete geometry.
2. differential geometry was developed through mathematical physics. It involves curvature of curves, plane curves, 3D curves of surface and three dimensional space. These are the major topics in differential geometry.
3. Topology of geometry has two parts which includes geometric topology and differential geometry.
4. Algebraic geometry - The Cartesian geometry of co-ordinates in modern incarnation is called as the field of algebraic geometry. It originated from 1940s to 1970s. Alexander Grothendieck had a major role in developing this.
