How many cycles will a hybrid battery in a Toyota Prius be good for?
If you exceed that max number of charges, what is the best way to overhaul the Prius batteries? How much will it cost to swap the batteries or overhaul them?

The Prius control system does not allow the batteries to be fully discharged, and therefore according to Toyota the Ni-MH batteries in the Prius are not limited by a number of charge cycles and more by the total mileage (similar to a conventional gasoline engine). Toyota claims the batteries will last the lifetime of the car without replacement and has tested them to 180,000 miles
