M$The Alochol Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), which regulates the drink trade, defines a serving size for beer as 12-ounces, wine at 5-ounces and a serving of 80 proof distilled spirits as 1.5 punces. They chose these sizes for a reason. Each contains .6 grams of pure alcohol and gives them equivalancy. Keep in mind that with beer of wine, there are other qualities that will increase calorie content, aside from the alcohol. Beer has some residual sugar left over after fermentation, depending on the degree of fermentation. Wine too, can have a sweet or dry aftertaste because of the amount of residual sugar in it. So when you look at the caloric count of .6 grams of pure alcohol, you also have to consider the residual sugar content, at least for beer and wine. If you're looking at distilled spirits, and 80-proof vodka, for instance, contains 40% alcohol and 60% water. None of the answers above are giving you real-world conditions.
You can find the calories, carbohydrates, serving-size, alcohol by content and even Weight Watchers POINTS for beer in a new book, "Does My BUTT Look BIG In This BEER? Nutritional Values Of 2,000 Worldwide Beers" on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. It takes into consideration the scenarios above for beer. It's a start.

M$I live in a dry country and my parents MAKE the alcohol , its commonly known as sid, and its about 95 % pure, and thats what i drink how many calories would be in that?
Wow. More than 4 years of research on the subject of alcohol and nutrition, best-selling book on the subject and a number of national TV appearances and my answered is dismissed.
The question is poorly phrased since there are no commerical drinks available that consist of "pure" alcohol. One again, the TTB and the FDA have made the determination that a 12-ounce beer equals the same anout of alcohol in a 5-ounce serving of wine which equals the true "pure" amount of alcohol in each one of these servings. It is .6 grams of alcohol.
I don't know how much simpler I can make this explanation.
One ounce is equal to 28.3495231 grams
One ounce = 198.4466617 calories
