When this book was released all the Barnes & Noble libraries from the US sold a total of 33,000 copies in its first day of launch. He broke the record previously held by Madonna's book called "Sex". After one week of its release, it reached the top of the best seller list of New York Times and stayed on the list for 16 weeks. This book was sold as hardcover in 1,398,880 copies and was the third most sold book of 1995.
