How many BioShock games are out there?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hi @palms! ;)

At present, there have been 2 games released for the Bioshock franchise. Bioshock 1 was released for the Xbox 360 and PC platforms on August 2007, while the PS3 saw a late release a year later (October 2008). The sequel on the other hand, Bioshock 2, saw a simultaneous release on February 2010.

On August 12, 2010, a 3rd installment was announced for the PC and all major next gen platforms. Named Bioshock Infinite, this seems to be the first time we’ll be seeing a big improvement to the graphics as the development team will be taking full advantage of the Unreal 3 engine, with a brand new lighting engine (Bioshock 1 and 2 used a modified Unreal 2.x engine). Unfortunately, release still seems to be a long way, with a TBA date sometime on 2012.

Here's a 10 minute demo for the upcoming Bioshock Infinite...
