how long is the sat test?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

It's 3 hours and 45 minutes, plus breaks, check-in time, etc. depending on the testing center.
The CollegeBoard says that you should be at the testing center by 7:45 AM, and says that, when check-in time, etc. are factored in, you'll get out at around 12:30 or 1 PM.

The critical reading section is 70 minutes (two 25-minute sections and one 20-minute section).
The math section is 70 minutes (two 25-minute sections and one 20-minute section).
The writing section is 60 minutes (one 25-minute multiple choice section, one 10-minute multiple choice section, and one 25-minute section).
