Hello @malibub!
Jaguar has been in business for 88 years to date. It is founded as the Swallow Sidecar Company by Sir William Lyons and William Walmsey who are both motorcycle enthusiasts. The SS Jaguar name first appeared on the 2.5 liter saloon in 1935.The name was changed to Jaguar after the second World War due to unfavorable connotations of the SS initials.
Jaguar Cars Ltd. or simply known as Jaguar is a British luxury car manufacturer that is based in Whitley, Coventry, England.
The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Indian company Tata Motors Ltd. and operated as apart of the Jaguar Land Rover business.
Jaguar was able to manufacture cars for the Prime Minister and the company also holds Royal Warrants from HM Queen Elizabeth II and HRH Prince Charles.
