How long does it usually take a nose piercing to heal?

Is it the type of piercing that will close up within a couple hours of having it out? How long should they be left in before it's ok to take it out and change it? I've had mine done for over a year but I'm a bit of a wuss and don't take it out without help...but if I wanted to..how much time would I have to get it back in?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Nose piercing healing time depends on the specific location on the nose.
For nostril it will take 2-4 months to heal; nasal septum 6-8 months; nasal bridge 8-10 weeks.
