How long do you think it will take for Skype to develop an iPhone app that takes advantage of the front facing camera?

Tip for best answer: M$0.12
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I don't think it would take Skype very long if they really wanted to do it. (And assuming Apple didn't make any problems for them!)

They are a company with plenty of resources and already have all the expertise need for video-calling and for iPhone app calling. I can't see mashing up the two - with the development resources they have - being too difficult.

However I don't know how big of a priority that would be at Skype.

My guess would be you'll see a Skype iPhone app with video calling in 3-6 months time.
