How long did it take to build the Eiffel Tower?

Tip for best answer: M$0.11
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

According to http://www.eiffel-tower.us/Eiffel-Tower-Facts.html construction took place from 1887 to 1889 and lasted about 26 months. This is supported and made more accurate by http://www.endex.com/gf/buildings/eiffel/eiffelfacts.html which states that construction took exactly 2 years, 2 months, and 5 days, commencing on January 23, 1887, and ending in March 1889, with the inauguration taking place March 31, 1889.
