Chilean Rose tarantulas should be kept between 70 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. They also require high humidity, up to 80%, which is added by warmer temperatures. In colder, drier climate, the tarantula will start to slow down and will lose its appetite. Although this isn't really a big problem for a few days or so, over time it can mess with the spider's natural cycles and may cause health problems.
Chilean Rose tarantulas are known as pretty hardy, though, so a slight, infrequent drop may not harm it unduly. Lower temperatures, down to 60 (although 65 would be safer) can be maintained for months without harming the spider.
