How is the Canon XTI digital camera for the professional user?

Based on my research on the Canon XTI digital camera series for the professional users, considering two models the Canon Digital Rebel XTi 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens and the Canon Rebel XTi 10.1 MP Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 17-85mm Zoom Lens, both products have received fairly high reviews, with the former received a rating of 4.5 stars out of 5, whereas the latter have garnered 5 stars out of 5.
Taking a closer look at the Canon Digital Rebel XTi 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera with regards its battery life, construction quality, display and ease of use, it received 4.5 stars, 4.5 stars, 4 stars and 4 stars, respectively. Meanwhile the Canon Rebel XTi 10.1 MP Digital SLR Camera, have not been rated yet on the said categories.

"...Unless you want to move up to a full frame sensor, I can't see any reasons why you would not want to go with this camera.
