How is Quickbooks rated?

Where can I find information about Quickbooks? What is Quickbooks limitations? How much does Quickbooks cost?
Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Quickbooks has a pretty good rating, santam. According to Top Ten Reviews, it has received 3 ½ out of 4 stars. You can find more information about Quickbooks and the reviews of it here: http://accounting-software-review.toptenreviews.com/quickbooks-review.html.

Quickbooks received three out of five stars on Amazon reviews. Read them here: http://www.amazon.com/QuickBooks-Pro-2010-OLD-VERSION/dp/B002KINCSW. I love reading Amazon reviews because I know they were written by real people who used a product and had either a negative or positive experience. If I were you, I’d definitely read these.

There are limitations, santam. Quickbooks Pro does not include the fixed asset manager. You would have to purchase the Accountant or Enterprise Edition for this feature. Quickbooks Premier 2010 is limited in its inventory tracking ability. Another limitation or annoyance is that Quickbooks will ask you to buy Intuit services, frequently. You’ll need to purchase an upgrade every two years or features will stop working. Another limitation is that it may cost you to create or change your form templates after the first 30 days of use. More about these limitations can be read here: http://taxes.about.com/od/quickbooks/fr/quickbooks2010.htm.

More reviews can be found here: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2353708,00.asp.

Quickbooks is approximately $180-$220, but the monthly on-line version is $10.

Hello santam!
This past year Intuit released QuickBooks Pro and QuickBooks Premier. Small businesses using the QuickBooks software find it helpful and rather easy to use.
Like anything else, there are downfalls. For one, the product is expensive at about $180. However, if you need help keeping books, you will probably find it is worth it. Second, new versions and upgrades of the software have to be purchased every couple of years since the old features will stop working. Third, the software will constantly advertise for upgrades at a cost.
There are numerous versions of the software, along with an online version that includes several options, so you can choose the edition that is specific to your companies needs. Toptenreviews.com has a page containing precise information on the software reviews that you may find helpful. Just type QuickBooks review into the search bar. You can also find a chart to compare options at quickbooksonline.intuit.com.
