How is Mahalo So fast !?
Even when my connection is slow or when i am downloading something in parallel Mahalo page seems to load very fast for a page of so much content I wonder why
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I think that only Mahalo Staff is able to answer this confidently, but what really helps is their clever page design, and use of compressed pictures.
Most of Mahalo pages are pure text, which doesn't require much bandwith to begin with. The pictures that ARE on a page, tend to be the same all the time. The twitter and facebook pics, the mahalo answers hula girl, the lines, categories etc are all the same all over Mahalo. This means a lot of data can be stored on your own PC, in you browser's cache.
So, in effect, your PC doesn't have to load a lot of data, which of course makes the pages quite fast.
On the other hand, Mahalo probably has quite some fast servers running the site, capable of handling all millions of pageviews.
In the end, it's all about user experience, and I'm glad you find Mahalo such a great experience speed-wise. I hope you like the actual content too!
