How is Daughtry in concert? Is it a good show?
I absolutely love Chris Daughtry. I have watched every season of American Idol and from all of the past shows and seasons, he is our favorite. I was thinking about surprising my husband and two kids and buying Daughtry concert tickets. Does he put on a good show? Does Daughtry tour alone or with another band? Is there a particular band that opens every show? Where is the best place to buy tickets? Thanks in advance!

I've never seen him, but I poked around the definitive source: youtube.
A hell of a voice. He can even pull it off acoustical well.
I'm a former concierge--I've sold a lot of concert tickets.
If the tickets are listed for Daughtry, it's his concert.
Otherwise it would say something like this:

The only two solo appearances I see coming up are in two of my fave places this summer: Hershey Park and at the Trop in A.C, (I prefer the Trump Taj Mahal myself, but The Top of The Trop--not where the concert is but a high-roller VIP lounge high atop Atlantic City--is great if you can get in.) If you've never been, take the chocolate factory tour if you go to Hershey.
Daughtry, Theory of a Deadman and Apocalyptica are scheduled for Thursday, Jul 15, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. (CDT) at The Chippewa Valley RockFest in Cadoit, Wisconsin., a 4-day event (July 16-18) also featuring 3 Doors Down, Alice in Chains, Limp Bizkit, John Mellencamp, Collective Soul, Blue October and Gavin Rossdale.
RockN the Park featuring KISS, at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, TX on Saturday, Sep 18, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. (CDT) came up on StubHub when I typed his name in (see link in sources). That's how it would appear if he's opening for someone, I think. There is no mention of Doughtrey anywhere else on stubhub in connection to that event.
But let's be practical--there's no way KISS is opening for an American Idol runner-up..
