How hard is it to.....

Put a ceiling fan in?
Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

It doesn't have to be particularly difficult. It is much like replacing a ceiling fixture as long as you are using the pull chains on the fan for controls and not wiring separate switches to control the fan and light. You may want to get a fan that has a remote control to take care of this issue.

Always make sure that you have enough support for the fan as it is heavier than the light fixture. There are brackets that can be purchased at Home Depot for support.

Connect the wires by color and follow the directions for this.

If you go to homedepot.com they have a "know-how" section which gives directions and illustrations.
