The fastest Audi currently in production is the Audi R8. There are V8 and V10 versions of the R8, and the top speed of the V10 is 196mph. I don't think the 8 cylinder R8 can go quite as fast, but it's still a really quick car. While there are many different Audi models in different price ranges that are quick, I don't think any of the other models can get quite to 196mph.
While I'm sure there are many Audi A4s that are used for autocross racing and that kind of thing, Audi actually does enter cars into the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. In fact, Audi won in 2000, 2001 and 2002. Their triple win is actually responsible for the Le Mans concept road car that later because the Audi R8. So, yes, some Audis go very fast, and some of them are actually dedicated racing cars.
