How far is Albuquerque from the nearest major airport?
What is the best way to get to the airport from Albuquerque? Is public transportation accessible to the New Mexico airport?

Albuquerque has a city website that is a gold mine of information. You can learn everything you’d possibly need or want to know about the city by going there.
www.cabq.gov/airport lists the Albuquerque International Sunport as being located at 2200 Sunport Blvd. SE Albuquerque, NM. You can reach the airport’s customer service by dialing (505) 244-7700.
New Mexico has a great public transportation system. If you’re within a reasonable distance from Albuquerque’s airport, the most inexpensive and simple way to get to the airport is to call the airport’s shuttle service. You can reach them by calling (505) 883 – 4966.
Another shuttle service that would work well for you anywhere within the Albuquerque area is the Roadrunner Shuttle Services. Door to door service is available. You can reach them at (505) 424 – 3367.
Car rentals are always a good option. If you are driving from within the city to the airport you should only need the hired car for a day. The cost will be exceptionally low. I'd choose Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Their prices are reasonable and what may be most important to you is that the company will come to your front door (or hotel room) and pick you up. It makes things very convenient! For about $35-$40 you can hire a car from Enterprise. A bonus is, you can return the car to the airport instead of the location that it originated from!

If the transportation options I’ve offered won’t work for you, please visit the city of Albuquerque’s website by clicking here. There you will find a complete list of ground transportation options that are available in Albuquerque.
I hope this information is helpful to you and that you have safe and happy travels.
