How does the annual crime rate in Columbus, OH compare to that of Cleveland, OH?

In comparison to the national crime average, the city of Columbus has been found to experience an increased level of violent as well as property crime. For example, in 2006 alone, Columbus experienced more than twice as many murder, forcible rape, larceny theft, robbery, and burglary cases than the nation combined on average. But Columbus is not the only larger city in the Ohio area. Cleveland is another popular metropolis that, due to its size is likely to attract its own share of crime. I am interested in how the two compare in terms of criminal statistics. Is Cleveland in fact experiencing more crime than Columbus?
