Sawyer wanted Kate to find his daughter Clementine and make sure she was okay. Jack wanted to know what Sawyer said to Kate because I don't think Jack believes that Kate really loves him - he knows that she is torn between Sawyer and Jack. So Jack is suspicious of her and her motives for wanting to help Kate. Plus, Jack is overwhelmed with guilt for leaving everyone else on the island.

Sawyer stole the money from the widow woman. Kate gives Cassidy an envelop of money. Sawyer is a negotiator; Sawyer is a manipulator; and Cassidy keeps the money which is what Sawyer wanted. The results demonstrate that Sawyer believes the money will make up for his mistakes.
Davepamn -- I don't understand your reply; Clementine is a young child.
I meant Cassidy
Sawyer believes that money can make up for his mistakes. His daughter Clementine was not happy about her father calling him a "coward" for not returning. Clementine knows the money was stolen. Clementine expresses sympathy for Kate. Kate tells Clementine, she is lying for Sawyer, because she has too.
Okay, and where is your resource that Sawyer thinks that money can make up for his mistakes?
