How does one report spamming to twitter? We are getting bombarded by "killer Software" postings probably coming from IRG!

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

To report spam to Twitter, follow http://twitter.com/spam - it's an account managed by Twitter's Spam team. Once you follow it, it'll follow you back. Then, to report spam, just direct message it by tweeting this:

d spam @spammerusername

The tweet will not be posted publicly because "d username (message)" is interpreted as a direct message. Twitter also takes into consideration the number of blocks the spammer has received, so you may want to block it as well by visiting their profile and clicking the 'block' link in the sidebar, but that's not entirely necessary - direct messaging the @spam user is good enough in most cases.

For more information on how Twitter deals with spam, view this FAQ page on Twitter's help site.

I think the above answer covered it all! blocking usually covers it, you can also change your setting to only see messages from people you follow, etc.
