Getting a basketball scholarship is not easy. First of all, there are only 12 per school for each gender. That means you must be one of the 12 best basketball players at your college. Playing basketball in high school is pretty much required, and you must be very, very good at the high school level. You should be the leading scorer or just about the top for a chance at a scholarship. You will need to get your name to the college coaches. If you are good enough, your name will appear in the news media and the coaches will hear about you. Then you must practice, practice and practice some more so that you have made yourself into the best possible player you can.
