How does hypochondriacs/paranoids (i.e. people who aren't sick or at risk) searching for information on the flu affect Google Flu Trends?

That's a great question. Fortunately, I don't think hypochondriacs/paranoids make up a large percentage of the population. I'm thinking in the single digits.
Paranoid personalities aren't usually focused on illness and hypochondriacs aren't typically looking up information to confirm what they have. Hypochondriacs just assume they have it and go to the doctor.
So... Short answer... Very little.
