How does google voice decide when to write "Sara," over "Sarah" when making a voicemail transcript?

My wife's name is Sarah and in the same transcript it spelled her name with and without an 'h.' I was just wondering if how google decides to add it. Is there some sort of inflection I can use to get it to put the 'h' in there?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Try some experimentation. In many parts of the world Sara and Sarah are pronouced exactly the same (not in the UK where i am from) but by overemphasising the second sylable it maybe possible to get it to work 100% of the time. I don't have the program so i can't say for certain but there maybe a language setting within the program that changes to UK English which may or may not help.

Good luck!

I've never noticed a difference anywhere? You say adding the H causes makes you ever emphasize the 2nd syllable? I can't quite imagine it.... Sare--uh or Sare-ahhhhhhhhh ?

where in the world are you from? do you mean a difference between the pronouciation of sara and sarah? in the uk sara is said 'sar-a' and sarah is sare-uh, like in the uk laura is 'law-ra' and lara is 'la-ra' whereas in the states it seems that lara and laura are both pronouced 'law-ra'
