Christianity compares to Paganism in the fact that they share similar roots, these roots are based on the belief that Paganism is a religion of nature. Pagans see the divine in the universe in every tree, plant, animal and objects of the surrounding environment. Pagans live their lives attuned to the cycles of Nature unlike the established religions although pagans do not believe in Satan or Hell. Christian traditions on the other hand share some of these elements of respect for life and for living things, but they are more formal in their approach to the nature and the surrounding environment. The worshiping of religious symbols takes preeminence in that context. Some nations that combine elements of pagan beliefs into Christian tradition are Bolivia and Peru among many others.
