How do you think Ex-Pres. GW Bush was feeling as he flew out of the Capital in a helicopter?

  • relief
  • melancholy
  • sad
  • etc.
There's no right or wrong answers here. I just want your opinion and I will leave the choice for best answer to votes.

G'day Rhonmark,
Thank you for your question.
I suspect he would be feeling mixed emotions. He would feel some relief mixed with some sadness after leaving a job that he has held for eight years. He may also feel some excitement about moving to the next chapter of his life.
Regard

After 8 years in such a high pressure job with such low approval, probably relieved and looking forward to putting his feet up. He must also regret the fact that he doesn't have the chance to fix everything before leaving office.

Thanks for your answer.
But I think he wouldnt have left the country in such bad shape if he had done the right thing all throughout. I mean 8 years is a pretty long time. Dont you think?

I really thought about this as I watched the helicopter flying off. I wondered what he must have said to his wife as they settled into the seats of the helicopter. I tried to put myself into that position, and all I could think of was, "Wow, we're going home," followed byh a sigh of relief.

He probably has some bicycling planned, and then there's lunch to look forward to. Life goes on. He doesn't pay much attention to "focus groups"

I think he is feeling relief and probably wondering where he is going to go on his vacation.
