How do you stop a dog's coat from shedding too fast
My sister has had a borzoi for over eight years now. The dog has always been hairy and with a beautiful, enviable fine coat. But she noticed that recently the dog has started losing her ‘’beauty coat’’ and the hairs are not growing back. She has taking her to the veterinary doctor but he said all was fine. Is this something to do with the dogs’ age? Or could it be something else?

I actually have an Aussi Sheppard. They are known for being a little on the fur heavy side! The summer is the worst, while it gets hotter they shed more and more, to keep themselves cool, as with any other animal with fur. The best thing to do that I have found effective, is to actually get them saved down. Not a lot but enough to keep the maintenance easier. There is also this special comb that is designed to basically shave the under coat(which is what animals will shed when they do). You just run this comb through their entire fur, until their whole body has been groomed. You can do this one or two times a week or everyday if they are extra fuzzy! This will keep the fur in your home to a minimum and they will be more comfortable as well!
