How do you setup a PC to run MythTV?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

MythTV can be a bit complicated to setup. If your new to linux, or are the least bit uncomfortable with it, this can be a bear to get going. I would recommend looking at one of the distributions which are pre-setup such as KnoppMyth(http://www.knoppmyth.net/knoppmyth.html) or MythBuntu(http://www.mythbuntu.org/) which have most of the complicated stuff done for you. If you still want to go ahead and try with plain ol' Myth, try the following guides(depending on your distro):
