How do you set up a drum kit?
Are there any websites that have instructions I can print out? I have a drum set that needs assembly, where can I find an expert online that can help me figure out how to set it up properly?

It can be a bit difficult setting up a drum set the first time, but follow these guidelines and you’ll get it figured out quickly:
• Make sure you have all the necessary pieces for your drum set. This includes a drum key.
• Put your bass drum on the floor vertically so that the brand name is facing away from where you want to sit.
• Get the two legs that attach into the bass drum, slip them into the holes and tighten their hold by turning the knobs. Be sure that the bass drum itself is a little above the ground so that the legs take most of the weight.
• Get your throne and use the lever under the seat to adjust the height.
• Find the snare stand and place the snare drum onto the stand.
• Adjust the height so that it is at a comfortable height for you to hit without hitting your knees.
• Attach the toms to the bass drum the same way you attached the legs.
• Get the floor tom and attach all three of its legs just like you did for the bass drum.
• Unscrew the bottom nut on the hihat clutch (this is what holds the top hihat cymbal to the hihat stand). Take the top hihat cymbal and place it between the two felts inside the hihat clutch.
• Take the ride cymbal and slip it onto one of the cymbal stands.
• Repeat the previous step for the remainder of your cymbals.
